2025 Holiday Happy Hour and Toy Drive
TSPS Chapter 5 wrapped up 2025 with a festive Holiday Happy Hour and Toy Drive on December 16 at the Mad Hatter Pub Neighborhood Pub. This end-of-the-year gathering gave Chapter members the opportunity to celebrate the season, network with fellow professionals, and give back to the community.
As part of the event, attendees were encouraged to bring unwrapped toys to benefit the children served by Lone Star CASA. Lone Star CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) has been elevating the voices of children who have experienced abuse and neglect since 1992. Serving Rockwall and Kaufman Counties, this 501(c)(3) non-profit trains volunteers to gather vital information about children in the foster care system and make recommendations to judges to ensure each child’s safety, stability, and well-being. Lone Star CASA is part of a larger statewide and nationwide CASA network, supporting thousands of children and families.
Thanks to the generosity of TSPS Chapter 5 members, the toy drive collected an impressive array of gifts, including books, blankets, bikes, dolls, and plushies. These donations will bring joy and comfort to children in need throughout the holiday season.
By combining holiday festivities with a meaningful charitable initiative, TSPS Chapter 5 demonstrated that the spirit of giving extends beyond the surveying profession. Events like the Holiday Happy Hour and Toy Drive highlight the Chapter’s commitment to fostering connections among members while making a tangible difference in the lives of children and families.
